Here are some questions we are frequently asked...
Will my card still work?
We have carefully designed CardCoats so that they do not cause any issues with the day to day use of your card. We have chip cutouts to ensure a chip is still readable with ease. We've also got a window cutout so that your name and number can still be read with ease. We use a material that is thin enough to allow you to insert, tap or swipe with ease.
I have name and numbers embossed on the front of my card, can I use a CardCoat?
If you've got the name and number etc embossed on the front of your card, we'd recommend opting for a "full with window" or "half" CardCoat. This will ensure you can still read the name and number.
Can I design my own CardCoat?
Absolutely! We have a badass design tool awaiting your creativity. Check out our Design Your Own range of CardCoats.
How do I know if I've got a small or a large chip?
It comes down to the shape...
So, essentially if its rectangular, its a small chip and if its square or a rounded square, it will be a large chip. If you're not 100% sure, please ping us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, with a photo of your chip (ensuring none of your personal details are visible) and we'll be happy to help you identify which chip you have.
What is the difference between half and full?
We strangely get asked this question a lot, and unfortunately the answer is extremely simple... one covers half the card and the other covers the full card! We find that some people prefer to use a half sticker when they have embossed details on the lower half of their card.
